Newly-invited Black Stars defender Andy Yiadom has finally received his Ghanaian passport ahead of Sunday’s World Cup qualifier against Egypt. Ghanasportsonline.com can exclusively report.

The Barnsley right-back is hence expected to join the Black Stars camp today in Dubai.

Yiadom’s invitation was uncertain due to his failure to possess a Ghanaian passport.

Ghanasportsonline.com’s sources have revealed the player has finally received a Ghanaian passport following the intervention of the Sports Minister Nii Lantey Vanderpujye after the Ghana Football Association reported the situation at hand to the sector Minister.

The 24-year-old will now be eligible to represent Ghana at international level.

He has been invited to provide competition at the right-back position in the team.
